PipePac 2000 Software Program Disk

We are pleased to provide engineers, contractors, specifiers of precast concrete products and engineering students only in the Pacific Northwest a complimentary copy of the PipePac 2000 Software Program. This offer is limited to while supplies last and on a first-come, first-served basis. Developed by the American Concrete Pipe Association in cooperation with OCPA and CCPA, PipePac 2000 is an enhanced version of the popular PipePac software--an easy-to-use and widely accepted software program used by engineers, specifiers, and contractors to help them select the right material for buried infrastructure systems.

PipePac 2000 Software offers integrated analysis using three independent programs:

  1. 3EB (Three Edge Bearing) for computing structural calculations of live loads and dead loads on concrete pipe.
  2. CAPE (Cost Analysis Pipe Envelope) for estimating the material costs of the embedment zones for both rigid and flexible pipe.
  3. LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) for determining the real cost of materials specified over the design life of the project using present value, annualized costs, or future value methods.

PipePac 2000 Software now works in a Windows NT environment and has been modified to include live load bedding factors for arch and elliptical pipe as well as dead load bedding factors for specific applications. Other enhancements include improved help screens, easier pipe cost editing, and default wall thicknesses.

Special Offer on Manuals for Engineering Students!

If you are a student enrolled in an engineering program in the Pacific Northwest you can be eligible to receive a complimentary copy of the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) Concrete Pipe Design Manual and the Concrete Pipe Handbook. This offer is good only while supplies last, and on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Concrete Pipe Design Manual is indispensable to engineers who select the type, size and strength requirements of pipe. This 486 page revised 12th edition contains all the technical data and design aids needed to assist engineers when specifying concrete pipe, and it eliminates the lengthy computations previously required. Featured are more than 330 pages of tables and figures covering hydraulics of sewers and culverts, live loads and earth loads, supporting strengths and supplemental design data. Detailed example problems of specific applications illustrate the proper use of these time saving design aids.

The Concrete Pipe Handbook is a comprehensive collections of theories, formulas, and aids for designing concrete pipe systems. Provides fundamental data on the design and installation of precast concrete pipe, analysis of unusual design situations, original research materials and information on concrete pipe standards.

These complimentary copies are being provided by the Pacific Northwest Precast Concrete Association (PNPCA) in conjunction with the Northwest Cement Producers Group. Additional copies of PipePac 2000 Software may be purchased from ACPA Resource Center by calling 800.290.2272 or fax 972.291.0622.

To find a precast concrete product producer please see the Resource Guide area of this site. For other information about the industry please call the association at 503.257.9806.
