Meet This Year's Speakers!
 Cory Shaw
Cory Shaw is the Executive Director of the Washington Aggregates & Concrete Association and the Washington ACI Chapter. Her focus is on membership development through education in the legislative, state agency and local government as well as continuing education and certification lanes. She has a background in Business, Land Development, Commercial and Residential Development, and Lobbying. In her spare time, she can be found painting, fishing or enjoying the beautiful PNW!
Cory will be presenting on Wednesday, June 25th, at 1:00pm. Cory's presentation is an introduction to the Washington Aggregates & Concrete Association and the WA ACI Chapter, including certification opportunities with ACI and NRMCA. She will also a look into the legislative landscape with industry impacts, expectations for next session, local Initiatives and local government challenges and opportunities.  Michael H. Church
Michael focuses his practice on representing management in all aspects of employment law, including, defending class and collective actions, workplace investigations, wage and hour claims, wrongful discharge, trade secret violations, discrimination claims, and violations of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Michael regularly practices in federal and state courts, including appellate courts, and before federal and state regulatory agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.
Michael is very active in the Spokane community as General Counsel for the Spokane Home Builders Association, General Counsel for Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest and Past President of Spokane Rotary Club #21 (current member, chair of the President's Advisory Council and chair of the Human Resources Committee). He also serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, and as a Board Member and Past President of the Inland Northwest Society of Human Resource Managers (INSHRM). Michael currently serves as the Legislative Affairs Director for WA State SHRM.
